Defense Budget Breakdown
Since 2014, our Defense Budget has increased by 59% - The reality of a bloated government on its way to becoming second fiddle to Canada.
It reflects the growing concern, especially since 2018, over global instabilities and bellicose power competition with China and Russia.

Our U.S. Defense Budget is nearly one trillion dollars! Where is the money going? If the clip below is an example, “WE ARE DOOMED!!!”

Hegseth flying drones, imitating his boss in exaggerating our capabilities of a “me too” user, after Ukraine invented a new way to fight wars. With our Bloat, we are light years away from this becoming a reality. If the link above does not work, click here: Unleashing U.S. Military Drone Dominance on X, July 11, 2025.
A comparison chart for China Versus NATO (Europe and Canada) Defense budgets shows this:

Why Such Budget Gap?
The U.S. Budget is $900 B. China’s is $375, and (Europe + Canada) is ~$265B.
The Question that jumps out of the charts above is: WHY SUCH A GAP Between the U.S. and China?
The U.S. budget is not a pure warfighting budget. It is a massive, complex mix of bureaucracy (the fourth branch of government), long-term investments, and commitments worldwide.
The reality is that only 20% — 25% goes directly to buying warfighting equipment (where is DOGE when you need it?).
A rough approximation of where OUR $900B money is going —
Reasons the (Almost one TRILLION $) budget seems inflated -
There is a concern over the growth of the DOD budget, “Bloating.” Eisenhower’s words as he left the Presidency (January 17, 1961) gave us a speech, warning us about the “increasing power of the Military-Industrial Complex.” This can never be forgotten. For reasons we still don’t know for certain, J.F. Kennedy was assassinated (after a fracas at the Bay of Pigs, Cuba), and L.B. Johnson (his VP) took office. After that experience and the cost climbing out of sight in Vietnam, Johnson did not run for a second term. One of the most powerful people in government, a very powerful Senator, now President, gave up a second term!
The malfeasance started then with the War in Vietnam. A war we did not win and left shamefully at the end. Since our debt went out of sight. We have fought 20 expensive “wars” since then. “Wars” because we sunk money into this powerful Military-Industrial Complex ever since.
NOW that we are facing a TWO-FRONT war, WWIII. We have a bloated government fighting for nickels (pennies are gone) to serve the people with. ~$250 BILLION is not enough to fight a two-front war!
We are not ready. Trump is diverting hardware ALREADY! (June 30th)
NOTE (July 12) — As of July 1st, Trump was dodging questions on who ordered the pause on U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine last week. On the evening of July first, “after an assessment of U.S. stockpiles.” Then, after three days of platitudinal explanations, on July 4th, Zelenskyy announced he had a very positive conversation with Trump. “We discussed air defense among other things. I’m grateful for the readiness to assist. Patriot systems are the key to defending against ballistic threats. We also discussed several other topical issues, which our teams will follow up on in detail at upcoming meetings.”
The bottom line is that our “Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces” does not know what he is doing. His Ego gets in the way, and when the facts on the ground contradict “the reality he thinks he can create,” it forces him to create a set of words that he thinks allows him to “save face.”
The fact is, we do not know if we have enough medical equipment for our Armies. We may not. China has the market corner on Antibiotics:
“As Congress and the White House debate a potentially wide-ranging infrastructure package, federal investment to bring antibiotic production back to the U.S. should be a top priority.”
Back from where? — CHINA.
Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States in the early 1900s, once said, “Speak softly but carry a big stick.” TRUMP does the opposite. He speaks loudly in all the media available today, and, based on factual results, the world is in the process of forming new alliances. Alliances that start with new trade agreements. The U.S. is in the process of becoming a “pariah” state, just like Russia. This may be proof that shortly, he will have “no stick to carry.”
This turnaround by our country is so sudden that it has left NATO in high waters. THEY WILL HAVE TO DRAIN THE SWAMP.
NATO is trying to buy time by giving Ukraine money to continue this fight any way they can while they get ready for the “New Mongol” hordes.
Ukraine, though having a 1 to 4 disadvantage against the Russian Army and its “deep industrial base.” So far, it has shown the World a new way to fight an “asymmetrical war.” This is given the fact that since January, the U.S. has abandoned the orphan country. And NATO, a U.S. orphan itself, is gun-shy to join Ukraine with boots on the ground, BUT continues to promise they will — “Back Ukraine until their chest caves in!”
What Ukraine Has Done
The U.S. Budget, as shown in the graph above, is $875 billion. Compared to the Defense budget for Ukraine 2025: $53.7 billion (Ref. 1). When we factor in foreign aid, it goes up to a total of between $82 -100 billion in 2024. These figures reflect an economy mobilized for total war, with defense taking a stellar share of GDP (20–39%). Ukraine’s total defense budget of $154 billion represents 18% of the U.S. budget. The point made is that OUR budget has no reason for being, it is bloated, and it is guided by obsolete ideas on how to fight a war. With 18% of the U.S. budget, Ukraine has worked MIRACLES!
They have invented a new way to fight wars, affirming the old saying: “Necessity is the Mother of invention.”
THE BEST OF HUMANITY TODAY IS IN UKRAINE
INVENTIONS SHORT LIST:
A Drone Revolution — As soon as the war started, soldiers on the front lines idealized how to use drones to get to the enemy first to deliver explosives directly to trenches and tanks. We were flooded with requests for Drones or money to buy drones on the market.
Today, they have:
a. Modular Ground Robots — Lego-style D‑21 robots that soldiers can reconfigure with different modules (weapons, cargo, evac kits) based on mission needs (businessinsider.com).
b. FPV & “Dragon” Attack Drones —( i.) High-speed FPV drones (e.g., “Wild Hornets”) built to intercept Russian drones at 325 km/h (english.nv.ua). (ii.) Thermite “dragon drones”, deploying molten metal in forests and on vehicles to clear cover and damage armor (en.wikipedia.org).
c. Interceptor & AI-powered Drones — (i) “Sting” quick-reaction interceptors using AI, hitting Shahed drones at significantly lower cost (businessinsider.com). (ii) AI-driven swarms and fiber-optic tethered drones invisible to EW systems (techukraine.org).
d. Maritime Drone Warfare — Sea Baby and Magura V5 USVs used to damage Russian surface vessels and even shoot down helicopters (en.wikipedia.org).Electronic Warfare & Counter-Drone Tech —
a. Pokrova, Bukovel-AD, and others jam or spoof Russian drones and missiles across large areas (defenceukraine.com).
b. Handheld FPV jammers (“Piranha”) protect vehicles by creating drone-denial zones (en.wikipedia.org).
c. Drone detectors & counter-FPV backpacks help locate and neutralize enemy drones (en.wikipedia.org).Battlefield Software & AI Systems —
a. Delta: A real-time, integrated battlefield management platform pulling data from drones, satellites, ground sensors, and units — described as a “software-defined warfare” tool (en.wikipedia.org).
b. AI-enabled modules like Griselda, and vision/inference chips for target recognition across platforms (en.wikipedia.org).Ground Robotics & Remote Weapons —
a. DevDroid remote turrets mount weapons and allow soldiers to fire remotely via cable or satellite link, reducing frontline exposure (techukraine.org).
b. All‑terrain UGVs like “Termit” and “Protector,” assisting logistics, demining, and reconnaissance missions (techukraine.org).Missile & Laser Systems —
a. AQ-400 Scythe loitering kamikaze drone (~$30K each), mass-produced for strike missions (en.wikipedia.org).
b. Trident laser system for shooting down aircraft at ~2 km altitude, placing Ukraine among the few nations with battlefield lasers (english.nv.ua).
c. Indigenous missiles like Ruta, Palianytsia, and long-range Neptuno being tested (nypost.com).Specialized Tools & Deception —
a. Dragon cloak offers thermal concealment from IR sensors and drones (weareukraine.info).
b. Fake decoy equipment (wooden howitzers, radars, etc.) to mislead and waste Russian ordnance .
c. Quadcopter mine detectors to map and clear minefields safely (weareukraine.info).
Ukrainians have a “Rapid Innovation Mindset.”
a. Frontline co-design process: Operators feed real-time feedback via video calls to manufacturers, speeding iteration cycles (businessinsider.com).
b. Over 500 drone companies, producing millions of drones annually — Ukraine hit ~2M in 2024 (csis.org).
c. NATO is now looking to purchase Ukrainian drones, recognizing this strategic advantage.
d. The latest is a brand new idea being brought to production after “proof of use” is, an Acoustic Detector never seen before:
Ukraine has developed an AI-powered acoustic detection system that uses simple, low-cost microphones and smartphones to locate enemy drones, missiles, and artillery. This technology, evolving from civilian audio research, is now outpacing traditional defense systems and drawing praise from NATO. It’s a powerful example of how necessity, ingenuity, and speed can redefine the front lines — and possibly change how wars are fought in the 21st century. ( Ukraine’s Revolutionary Acoustic Detector).
Why ALL of this Matters
These innovations have asymmetrically undermined Russia’s conventional advantages. Today, Ukraine can reach deep into Russia UNDETECTED and destroy strategic targets.
They represent a new warfare model: distributed, rapidly iterated, AI-enhanced systems built under fire.
The WORLD, particularly Western militaries, are forced to rethink strategy — away from large, static platforms to agile, scalable systems shaped by digital and robotic technology.
THEY NEVER HAD $875 BILLION TO DEVELOP AND EXECUTE THE WAR WITH, WHILE FIGHTING RUSSIA WITH A RATIO OF ONE UKRAINIAN TO FOUR RUSSIANS. EFFECTIVELY, WITH ONE HAND TIED BEHIND THEIR BACKS!!!!
P.S.: “MAGA” is dead. We were lied to. There are no shortcuts for good performance.
Lesson Learned: Vote for younger people for the GOVERNMENT. Most of all, people who are comfortable talking about our “Moral Law” and the “Law of the Land.”
IF AND ONLY IF, we have learned one lesson as of today, it is this: The “Law of the Land,” our Constitution, means NOTHING if it is not applied with detailed attention to our “Moral Law,” the “Declaration of Independence.” SCOTUS is supposed to guard “The Constitution” and not allow laws in he books that break it.
WE are supposed to guard our “MORAL LAW — The Declaration of Independence,” this is why it SAYS: “Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
Write to your Congressman and let them know, so far they are in violation of our Moral Law.
THEY HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER OR WE ARE LOST!
